I am writing to let all of you know that any submissions to the Patriot for the Spring 2024 issue will need to be resubmitted to me, as I have not received anything that was submitted to the previous Patriot Editor Jo Lawrence for the Spring Edition of the Patriot.
So, if you submitted or would like to submit anything to be published in the upcoming Patriot Magazine, i.e. Regional Commander’s Reports, Post Exchange News, Pictures, Flowers of the Forest, and any corrects to the Post Officers information. It will need to be resubmitted ASAP to Patriot Managing Editor
Deadline for the Spring/Summer Digital Edition
May 15th, 2024.
Release date will be June 14th, 2024. It will be
available for viewing online or for download.

The Patriot, published quarterly, is the official journal of the Scottish American Military Society, a voluntary, non-political, non-sectarian and non-profit organization incorporated under the laws of the state of North Carolina, dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Scottish and American Armed Forces customs, traditions and heritage.
The Patriot includes reports by the officers, minutes of national meetings, information on regional and Post activities, and various feature articles of interest to the membership. This section of our site includes pages which will give you a brief exposure to The Patriot. See our Table of Contents from the most recent publication in the right hand column, and a selected article of interest. Improving The Patriot is an on-going activity and we welcome your suggestions.
The membership of SAMS and other interested parties are encouraged to submit articles or items of interest to The Patriot publication. Submission of articles which are copyrighted must include a copyright waiver to be accepted for publication.
